Childish Gambino Unveils Album Cover for 'Awaken, My Love!' + 2 New Singles

Donald Glover, known to most you music heads as Childish Gambino, is having a great year!

The actor/director successfully wrapped the first season of his critically-acclaimed hit FX series, "Atlanta", landed a role playing 'Lando Cairissian' in an upcoming "Star Wars" movie and not too long ago, Gambino shared two new singles from his highly-anticipated album, "Awaken, My Love!".

The lead single, 'Me and Your Mama', is a psychedelic rock anthem that will surely set your soul on fire! The six minute track opens to a soulful lullaby-esque harmony before Gambino jumps onto the track giving us some modern-day Jimmie Hendrix funk soul screams. Great opening song and  I absolutely love the rawness of this track.

The second single, 'Redbone', premiered as Annie Mac's Hottest Record earlier today on BBC Radio 1. Like the previous, Gambino switches from he usual rapping to raw soulful singing dripping with incredible falsettos.

@RapFavPosts on Twitter shared a screen capture from the "Atlanta" - 'Juneteenth' episode where Gambino's album cover was shown in plain sight in the wealthy home owner's office. Seeing this picture made wonder if we've heard any of the album during the show. Possibly... 'Redbone' sounds like a track I heard from the show, but I think my mind is playing tricks on me.

I wasn't one of the lucky fans to go to Gambino's "Pharos" concert, but from what I heard, "Awaken, My Love!" is his most emotional/personal album to date! "Awaken, My Love!" will be released on December 2nd via Glassnote Entertainment Group, LLC. Pre-order the album here: http://smarturl.it/awakenmylove.
