With the drama of Atlantic Records behind him, Lupe Fiasco is back to releasing new music! The Chicago artist dropped his latest single 'Pick Up the Phone' where he discusses the obsession we have with our smartphones and the lack of "personal connection" it creates.
For the visual, we see a young couple daily communication... At one point, the guy couldn't reach his girl which caused him to grow concern. Perusing through Snapchat, the guy see a suspect video of his girl and an unidentifiable fella.... the snap video pans over the counter to a bottle of prescription pills which raised a red flag for the boyfriend to head to his girlfriend's home. Upon his arrival, the boyfriend finds his girl unconscious on the bathroom floor.
'Pick Up The Phone' is first feature from Lupe Fiasco's forthcoming trilogy, Drogas, Drogas Light and Skulls...
Earlier this month, Lupe announced the release of each album has been stalled due to mixing and clearance issues.

Lupe apologizes and shares with his fans, "I'll take these L's like a champ and keep it moving. Again so sorry to let you folks down." The rapper follows up and tell his fans the albums were completed months ago and the fine details are what stalling the projects release.
